Installation Instructions:
- Plan the layout:
- Determine the drainage path and mark the area for installation.
- Ensure a slight slope (1/8 inch per foot) for proper water flow.
- Excavate the trench:
- Dig a trench 4 inches wider than the channel and 2 inches deeper.
- Compact the soil at the base of the trench.
- Prepare the base:
- Pour 2 inches of concrete or crushed gravel into the trench.
- Level and compact the base material.
- Install the channel:
- Place the channel into the trench, ensuring it's level and aligned.
- Connect multiple channels if needed, using the interlocking ends.
- Add end caps and outlet:
- Attach end caps to the start and end of the channel run.
- Install the outlet adapter at the desired drainage point.
- Secure the channel:
- Pour concrete around the sides of the channel, leaving the top exposed.
- Ensure the concrete is level with the surrounding surface.
- Allow concrete to cure:
- Wait 24-48 hours for the concrete to fully set before use.
- Final touches:
- Install grates (sold separately) if desired.
- Backfill and finish the surrounding area to match the existing surface.
Maintenance: Regularly inspect and clean the channel to ensure optimal performance. Remove debris and flush with water as needed.
