Installation Instructions:
- Clean both the inside of the 3-inch pipe (socket end) and the outside of the 2-inch pipe (spigot end) with a clean, dry cloth.
- Apply an even coat of PVC primer to both surfaces that will be joined.
- After the primer has dried (usually within 10-15 seconds), apply an even coat of PVC cement to both surfaces.
- Immediately insert the reducer bushing into the 3-inch pipe, twisting it slightly to ensure even distribution of cement.
- Hold the fitting in place for about 30 seconds to allow initial bonding.
- Allow the joint to cure according to the cement manufacturer's instructions (typically 2 hours for handling and 24 hours for full pressure).
- Once cured, connect your 2-inch pipe to the smaller end of the reducer bushing using the same method.
